We stayed here when it was the Primus hotel but the Kimpton has taking this glorious Art Deco building up another notch. The cozy ‘living room’ vibes of the foyer are more inviting than most hotels and with the bar and coffee service it is a place to relax and unwind. The social hour is genius, bringing back a chance to mingle with people and have a chat. In a world where loneliness is a problem it’s nice to see a hotel offering a move to connect people more. The hotel feels like stepping back in time with the design touches. Our room was well sized and well lit from the internal light well and unlike other hotels the lights were easy to use with the “all on” and “all off” options. The location is excellent, a walk to everything but the new bikes are an excellent addition. We will be back.

the hotel itself is very nice, in a very good location, very accessible. The rooms are immaculately clean, the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is very nice too. The staff are very friendly and attentive to the needs of guests. There was just one incident at New Year's eve when there was a system failure and the room keys in all the rooms did not work. But the staff, though undermanned worked double time to make sure that guests are accompanied to the rooms with the master key so we can enter our respective rooms. We saw that the staff really stepped up to the situation and we did not really mind the inconvenience. The keys were working already by the next morning.

Maria

Huge room with excellent, very large bed. good quality bed linen and comfortable pillows. The bathroom was enormous with double sinks and a huge walk in shower as well as a bath - superb. The social hour from 5-6pm was a lovely and unexpected bonus. We met several fellow guests who we chatted to while appreciating the very good free wine and fizz! What a good idea - more hotels should do that. The location was superb, very close to a tram stop to Circular Quay and also to the train line, including the airport train. so very convenient. The staff were marvellous too, so helpful and friendly. We stayed for a whole week and would happily return.

Sue

Super comfy bed and couch, great sized room and bathroom. Very clean, and well set up with all the expected amenities, including a yoga mat which we appreciated. The gym and yoga studio are also open 24hrs which is great. Wonderful little touches like spa water at the reception, a morning tea trolley and an afternoon social hour. The location is very central and easy to explore Sydney by public transport. Sadly did not get to use the rooftop as the weather wasn't great, but maybe next time!

Loved the decor and vibe. Great common area. Good big breakfast choices. Room was large and comfy and the Bathroom/ shower was Exceptional! 7th floor outdoor area is very nice. Loved the happy hour wine offering. ( perhaps add some popcorn snack or crackers/ crisps) Staff was lovely all around in every position. Great service.
